I could hear his name from all kind of people in a street
even I still not quite understand dutch.
My first connection to him/apple is a Power Mac G3 when I enter
a technical school in tokyo to be a buyer.
The mac was there for making a planning document, but I just
spend whole my time to create something out of it.
I still remember that it was a moment of realized the word Design
and power of GOOD design.
If I look back, Mac gives the first connection to the bigger
world to me as a kid who just love make things by himself and
the kid/me eventually decided to became a designer because of it.
I think he did grate job because he made an object that make
my life changes to whatever direction. I think only few
things can change the life of people and I really appreciate
his approach to his own life that create such a thing.

スティーブジョブスが亡くなられました。
たとえオランダ語が分からなくても街行く老若男女から彼の名前が聞こえます。
僕の彼（アップル）との初めての繋がりは、バイヤー志望で入った東京の専門学校で、
その時に企画書なんかを作る為に使ったPower Mac G3、そして、それ以来頭の中は
Mac一色になり、それ以外の全ての課題をほぼ放棄して没頭した。
Macによって気づかされたのは、デザインの存在といいデザインのもつ力だと思う。
今思うと、小さい頃からただものをつくる事が好きな少年が、Macによってものを
つくる事と社会の接点を初めて見いだした、そして、それがきっかけでデザイナーと
して生きるの道を選び進んで行くことになる。
世界的に見ると彼は様々な偉業を成し遂げたんだろうけど、僕個人にとっては、
僕の人生を導く道具を作ってくれた人、そんな道具を作りだした生き方に尊敬と
感謝の念を送るとともに、ご冥福を祈ります。
